In April 2004 , we began a journey together: as a couple and as entrepreneurs. We toured cities in Mississippi, Alabama , and Florida, selling Latin American products to bring the flavors of home closer to our community .

In 2006, we took a decisive step : opening a permanent location where everyone could find these much- desired products . Thus, Las Américas was born .

My husband, Panamanian, always looked for typical products from his country, while for me , a Mexican, it was easier to find them in established stores . We set out to create a supermarket that offered not only Mexican products but also Central American products: Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica , and Panama. The name Las Américas He chose it , inspired by the Bridge of the Americas, a Panamanian symbol of unity, reflecting our motto: “ The bridge of the Hispanic family .”

In the first year , we discovered that our community was also looking for products from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic , and so we began to grow. Today, thanks to the trust of each customer, we offer flavors from Jamaica, Peru, Brazil, Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina , and many more!

We are currently located at 3615 Chicot St, Pascagoula, MS 39581 , our third location after two moves filled with dreams and hard work. We started as a small shop, then added a butcher shop, then a restaurant, and now we are excited to announce our newest project: an online store , which will soon bring our products to homes across the country .

More than a supermarket, we are a bridge of cultures, flavors , and shared stories .
